Your business can be a Treasure!

Showcase Your Business. Share Your Story. Become Part of the Adventure.

The 3 Rivers Treasure Trail is a unique weekend event that invites visitors to slow down, take the scenic route and uncover the hidden treasures of our region.

Rather than bringing everyone together in one location, the Treasure Trail encourages people to journey through our beautiful countryside, discovering farm gates, artisan makers, food producers, cafés, wineries, gardens, artists and small businesses along the way.

Every stop on the Trail is a treasure waiting to be discovered, with each participating business offering visitors something uniquely their own.

Whether that's fresh local produce, handcrafted goods, workshops, demonstrations, tours, delicious food, beautiful gardens or simply the opportunity to meet the people behind the business, every experience helps tell the story of our region.

Why Join the Treasure Trail?

Participating in the 3 Rivers Treasure Trail is an opportunity to:

  • Introduce your business to hundreds of new visitors. We anticipate 400-500 cars at this event, building in years to come.

  • Generate sales during the event weekend.

  • Build lasting relationships with future customers.

  • Increase awareness of your business long after the event has finished.

  • Collaborate with neighbouring businesses and strengthen our regional network.

  • Help showcase the incredible diversity of the 3 Rivers region.

No two businesses are the same, and that's exactly what makes the Trail special. EVERY business has something special to offer. You don’t have to be a huge farming producer or have an elaborate experience. If you make your products yourself, locally - then you are a Treasure!!

Some businesses simply open their doors and trade as normal. Others create special experiences such as tastings, workshops, demonstrations, guided tours, children's activities or live entertainment. Many collaborate with neighbouring businesses to create destination stops that encourage visitors to stay longer.

Whatever your business looks like, we'd love to help you become part of the Trail.

HUB - a farm that will offer it's own attractions as well as allowing other businesses to use their space. A cluster of businesses will improve the visitation to your particular farm, so collaboration with other vendors will benefit all

Learn the Lingo

MAKER - any business participating in the event, be it Hub, Hitch or Host

HUB - a farm that will offer it's own attractions as well as allowing other businesses to use their space. A cluster of businesses will improve the visitation to your particular farm, so collaboration with other vendors will benefit all

HITCH - a business that may be from out of the area, or doesn't have a business venue that is suitable for visitors

HOST - a bookable experience. This might be on your own property such as a farm tour - but you don't want it open slather for everyone to wander through. Participants must book, which will help you manage numbers. Or you could offer a Bookable experience as a Hitch (on someone elses property - if facilities allow) or as a Hub (on your own property that also has other vendors at it)

A bit more about the Organising Team

The Treasure Trail is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who also have businesses in the region and are excited to create an event were collaboration is of mutual benefit to the region as a whole. No members of the team are paid to organise the event, and we do it from a common interest in promoting our beautiful region. We do strive to make it a very professional organisation however, as it is currently predominantly funded by State and Local goverment - who expect that their investment is being well looked after.

We aim to organise the event. We build the website, corrale all the local businesses, manage ticket sales and bookings, engage with marketing professionals, hang signage etc. We do not, however have time to manage each individual stall / farm. All the event organisers are also participating businesses in the event - so it’s busy!! If you are willing to be a Hub, you will become the organiser of your own mini event. It’s your job to organise where the Hitches go, whether they have access to power, water etc. If you’re a hitch, you will need all your own gear - signage, marquee, tables - the lot!! If you’re a host, likewise you need to organise your own content and required space / gear to bring your bookable experience to life

Register Your Interest

We're currently inviting expressions of interest from businesses that would like to participate in the next 3 Rivers Treasure Trail.

Submitting your details does not commit you to participating. It simply lets us know you're interested so we can keep you informed as planning progresses and discuss the opportunities available.

A member of our volunteer committee will then contact you to answer any questions and help determine the best way for your business to be involved.

Testimonials

“My sales on the weekend exceeded my normal MONTHLY sales for December, and there has been a consistent uptick in customers and total spend at the farmgate ever since.”

Jacqui — In Our Hands Family Farm
2025 Treasure Trail Hub

“Enjoyed Felting workshop at Gumnut Alpacas - beautiful atmosphere and lots to see.”

Maureen — 2025 Treasure Trail Participant

“The 2025 event was a fantastic experience for Farmhouse Forge. We had genuine conversations with people who were excited to learn about traditional carbon steel cookware and cooking without modern non-stick coatings. Watching an heirloom frying pan take shape before their eyes sparked great discussions about craftsmanship and Australian manufacturing.

Most importantly, the event helped us build lasting relationships with local growers, makers and customers that continue to support our business today. We’ll definately be back!”

Josh — FarmHouse Forge 2025 Treasure Trail Hitch

“The stops were excellent, the kids really enjoyed the Cinderella carriage at Tocal Homestead, Alpaca feeding and Gumnut Alpacas.”

Jasmin — 2025 Treasure Trail Participant

“ My favourite moments were In Our Hands Family Farm as I booked a Funghi growing workshop (which was excellent). Plus the Farm Gate Stall and other stallholders where I stocked up on yummy, healthy, locally made products.

It was like a festival i.e. having more than one maker at the same marketplace location.”

“I thought the Gumnut Alpaca stop was very welcoming as well as the people at the stalls. They all made a tremendous effort. The dirty gardener staff were also excellent, happy and chatty which was great! The lady at Happy ever after was terrific too. Could have stayed for longer at all these places on such a hot day.”
